It is time to get ready for our Kenosha County Democratic Party Annual Picnic, and here are the details:
When: Sunday, August 4th 12 - 4pm
Where: Washington Park, Shelter 1 (off 22nd Ave just south of Washington Road and drive back until you see us. You can’t miss us!)
What will we eat (down to the important stuff):
Lunch will be hot beef and cold sandwiches from Morelli’s Deli. (No vegan option available, but there should be options in the sides to make a lunch of that.)
We are asking you to consider bringing a side, snack, or dessert to share. Please let us know what you are bringing (and if you’d like to volunteer for set up or clean up!) Sign up HERE.
What else you should know:
Mandela Barnes will be our special guest speaker for this event (and there might be one or two others, as we continue to plan).
Our incredible Dem elected representatives (in partisan and nonpartisan seats) are asked to please donate raffle baskets for the picnic for attendees to win. Please reach out to Executive Board Member JuliaMetallo6@gmail.com if you have any questions. You may bring your basket right to the picnic or, if you aren’t going to make it that day, you can drop it off at our office the day before the picnic between the hours of 10am and 4pm.
There will be a 50/50, and the proceeds of it will help to fund our 8 billboards to this fall
Each fall candidate will get the opportunity to speak to the group for a few minutes so that you can hear more about why they are running for office.
Tickets are $15 per person and $25 for a family. Please pay ahead so that we can get a good head count for food: HERE.
