MAGA Base and Trust

MAGA base and trust

Trump’s campaign promised to release the files of Epstein, JFK, MLK, and Sept 11. This was part of a broader push for government transparency—but the Epstein case, in particular, has become a political flashpoint.

The Epstein list has recently exploded. MAGA troops are up in arms because the Trump Administration has flip-flopped on whether they’re going to release the list. Suddenly, there is no list. It’s missing.

Trump’s allies—including Kash PatelPam Bondi, and Dan Bongino—repeatedly claimed the files would expose powerful individuals.

In January 2024, a court unsealed documents from a lawsuit involving Epstein’s associate Ghislaine Maxwell. These included nearly 90 names

In February 2025, Bondi said the Epstein client list was “sitting on [her] desk”.

By July 2025, the DOJ and FBI stated there was no incriminating client list.

This reversal sparked outrage among Trump’s base, with figures like Elon MuskSteve Bannon, Marjorie Taylor Greene, and Laura Loomer accusing the administration of a cover-up.

In order to distract his MAGA base from fixating on Epstein, Trump is now introducing another red herring. Trump is accusing Obama of having engineered a “coup” by “manufacturing” evidence of Russian interference following Trump’s 2016 election victory.

Trump wants Obama prosecuted for “treason” by Trump’s Department of Justice.

Both topics are lightning rods for speculation, but only one—Epstein’s case—has resulted in criminal convictions. The Obama treason claim, meanwhile, remains a politically charged accusation without legal grounding.
