Mindfulness 101

When: Thursday, June 29, 6:30 pm – 7:30 pn

Where: Kenosha County Democratic Party Office, 5712 7th Avenue, Kenosha 53140

Many of us are becoming aware of the need for self-care during these difficult historical times. There is so much that needs to be done, but we will not be able to help unless we stay strong and healthy. This workshop will help our progressive community begin a journey of self-care together.

Mindfulness 101 (1-hour workshop):
Understanding the basics of mindfulness:
What is mindfulness?
What are the benefits of mindfulness – what does the research show?
How can I begin to practice mindfulness?

This workshop will be conducted by Re-Set Mind Body, who presented self-care worshops for KEA.
Their mission statement:
“Our mission at Re-Set is to support and serve our community by providing youth and adults with instruction that improves their overall sense of emotional and physical well-being. We introduce and facilitate the concepts of Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) and Mindfulness based strategies that can easily be integrated into daily life. Through intervention programs and specialized workshops, we empower individuals to become more self-aware, to better self-regulate, and ultimately feel capable of creating and nurturing personal resiliency to handle the challenges of today’s world.”
