Due to planned road construction downtown this summer, a new route has been selected for the Kenosha Civic Veterans Parade. The parade steps off at 1 p.m. in the Uptown district, at the corner of 63rd Street and 22nd Avenue., and moves north on 22nd Avenue to 60th Street. The route then proceeds east on 60th Street to Sheridan Road, then north on Sheridan Road, ending at 54th Street. Parade announcers and a reviewing stand for event sponsor Snap-on Inc., will be located at Civic Center Park, 900 57th St. (the 5700 block of Sheridan Road).
“Honoring Kenosha’s History” is the theme for the 2017 Kenosha Civic Veterans Parade presented by Snap-on. Parade entrants have the opportunity to highlight their own history in Kenosha – or celebrate milestones from the city’s past.
